Four identical cabins
Great care has been devoted to ensuring total peace on
the lower deck, with multi-layer bulkheads buffering
noise and vibrations from the engine room, the galley
and neighbouring cabins.
Two of the cabins are double and two can be conver-
ted into twins thanks to fitted sliding beds. Dark oak
wood has been used on the bulkhead bases and on bed-
side tables, but the most distinctive feature, which also
highlights the large hull glazing, is the retro backlit Al-
cantara headboard, curving at the sides up to the ceiling
and also concealing the curtains. Curved profiles can also
be found in the bathroom bulwarks, resulting in a style
perfectly harmonised with the one found in the cabins.
The crew quarters are located at the bow and have in-
dependent access from the galley. They consist of three
cabins hosting five crew members: one for the captain
with separate head and shower, and the other two with
bunk beds and a shared head.
Flybridge
Since there is a garage, the flybridge space is larger and
can be fully set aside for relaxation. A davit can be ins-
talled upon request, although in the standard version
this space contains the life rafts. There is a second helm
station, furnished with an electrically-adjustable height
seat. Behind it is a large U-shaped sofa with two separate
tables that can also be joined together. To starboard is
the co-pilot seat. The bar area is fitted with two cabi-
nets containing the fridge, sink, grill, ice-maker upon
request and a raised top. The aft sunbathing area can
host a jacuzzi and is sheltered by a hardtop with central
opening section. The entire aft area is surrounded by a
series of handrails and may be furnished with sofas and
free-standing seats.
Engine room
Ferretti Yachts’ first 96-footer can be fitted with three
different sets of MTU engines. The standard version has
twin 2218hp 16V 2000 M84s, allowing it to reach a
maximum speed of 27.5 knots and a cruising speed of 24
knots. Two optional solutions include twin 2435hp 16V
M93s or twin 2638hp 16V M94s. In the former version,
the maximum speed is 29 knots and cruising speed 25,
whilst in the latter, more powerful version, the Ferretti
960 can reach a peak of 31 knots and enjoy a cruising
speed of 27 knots. An ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) system
comes as standard to ensure maximum onboard comfort
and more stable cruising.

Three brand new models for 2014
T
he Italian shipyard Azimut unveiled three new crea-
tions at the recent Cannes and Genoa yacht shows.
They are the Azimut 80, the Azimut Magellano 53, and
the Azimut Atlantis 50 in Open and Coupé versions.
The latter is the first in the new collection of the well-
known Atlantis brand, which now joins Azimut’s three
market-leading lines: Azimut Flybridge, the Azimut
Magellano and Azimut S.
Azimut Atlantis 50:
Open and Coupé versions
The Azimut Atlantis 50 is available in Open and Coupé
versions, each with the same levels of comfort and per-
formance but adapted to different cruising styles. On
the Open version of this brand new 15-metre yacht, the
main deck is a single open space, whilst the Coupé ver-
sion offers the option to separate the inside and outside
with a three-leaf glass door. The Coupé also boasts an
electrically-operated hardtop and a table built into the
bathing platform. The Atlantis 50 offers accommodation
for four to six guests, with an optional third cabin ins-
tead of the dinette. There are two double cabins, both
with private bathrooms and separate shower stalls, whilst
the owner’s suite is placed amidships at full beam.
The yacht is powered by twin 600hp Cummins engi-
nes, which deliver a top speed of 33 knots and a cruising
speed of 29.
Azimut 80:
24 metres in the Flybridge line
Stefano Righini and Achille Salvagni Architetti once
again worked together on this new model. Distinctive
design features include four floor-to-ceiling windows
(1.6 x 2m) in the dining area bulkhead, which offer na-
tural lighting and incredible sea views. The interior la-
yout boasts four double cabins, all ensuite, for a total of
eight guests.
The engine room houses twin 1500hp MANs delive-
ring a top speed of 29 knots, as well as storing 6,000
litres of fuel and 1,100 litres of water. The yacht is also
fitted with CMC stabilising fins.
