head to the bow. In all cabins, a sophisticated LED-
based lighting design allows guests to set the ambient
lighting they wish. The décor plays with mirrors to
give depth and over two metres of height to ensure a
truly exceptional sense of space. The crew cabins are
located aft, with direct access from the deck. The airy
full-beam salon, flanked by the large side windows,
is the key space that defines the essence of the main
deck, which is separated into three functional areas.
The helm station, with an enormous console that
admits all the electronics and equipment an owner
may ever long for, is skirted by a relaxation area with
L-shaped sofa and occasional table that allows guests
to accompany the helmsman when underway. Also
found here is a door out to the side walkway.
Separated from this space by a bulkhead is the di-
ning area, with an oval table for eight and framed by
two impressive sky-ground (1.6 by 2-metres) win-
dows, perhaps one of the most original and surprising
solutions you come across on this model.
This space is also separated from the living area, it-
self featuring sofas along each wall, a coffee table and
a sideboard. The galley, fitted with Miele appliances,
comes in two versions: enclosed or open-space. In the
case of the latter, there is access towards the exterior
through a pantograph door to keep guests and crew
apart when they need to be.
In the engine room of this 61-ton fibreglass yacht
with a V-shaped hull and 16.6º deadrise aft, the twin
1550hp MAN engines provide a top speed of around
30 knots. The fuel tank has a capacity of 6,000 li-
tres, while the water tank holds 1,200 litres. Amongst
the many optional extras, the yacht can be fitted with
Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers or electric CMC Ma-
rine stabilising fins.

Mangusta 94
Superyacht for two
couples
The Italian shipyard Overmarine officially launched its
new model, the 30-metre Stephano Righini-designed
Mangusta 94, at a private ceremony in May. She is the
natural evolution of the Mangusta maxi open yachts,
combining racy, sporty lines with new features that allow
greater usability of the external areas as well as even more
comfort. Features include a flybridge with large cushions
and a bow cockpit that combines sunbathing, dining and
lounging.
Another important new feature is installation of gyros-
copic stabilisers. In the design, primary importance was
given to natural light, which floods in through four
skylights in the main saloon ceiling and large side win-
dows on the lower deck, with the owner’s area also featu-
ring portholes. These side windows will also be found on
all future Mangusta models.
The interior layout boasts just two cabins for the ow-
ner and guests, as well as three more for the five crew
members. The interior décor, styled by New York archi-
tect Peter Marino to the owner’s specific requirements,
features an abundance of rosewood.

Launch of Sanlorenzo
Alchemist
Too
The Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo recently chose Viareg-
gio Marina to launch the seventh unit in its 38-metre
tri-deck semi-displacement SD122 range. The compo-
site yacht, christened Alchemist Too, has been built for
a Mexican owner. In line with the yard’s tradition since
1958, the boat is exclusively made-to-measure according
to the style and the requests of her owner.
The indoor flooring is finished in Canaletto chestnut,
while the furnishings alternate from whitened oak to
white lacquered parts, giving a modern, airy and serene
interior.
The rest of the décor is by the furniture design house
Minotti, as commissioned by the owner. For the bathro-
oms cream marble was used, while the galley is finis-
hed in tobacco brown marble. Designed for the overseas
market, Alchemist Too is equipped with 60 Hz electri-
cal systems to meet the standards of North and Central
America.
Regarding the outdoors, Alchemist Too shows
two important changes compared with the traditio-
nal SD122 models: the gym on the upper deck with
a private bathroom and an innovative extension stern
bathing platform that slides out to create a 2.2-metre
terrace ideal for outdoor furnishing and direct contact
with the sea.
